Thornvale is not Hollow Reach. Lucas Mercer walks Realm 7,341,882. The Vale is older.
When the System names a world, it reaches for a pattern it has already run. The oldest named pattern is a square, a fountain, six vocations, and a road that does not forget.
The game is that pattern still walking. The books are what happens when fifty thousand humans are dropped into a later copy.
